Highlights

  1. KOMEKO 2026

    On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to take part in the 25th International Scientific and Technical KOMEKO Conference, which will be held on 23–25 March 2026. The aim of the conference is to review development directions in mineral processing systems, with particular attention to the human–machine–environment relationship.

  2. New Directions in Research and Development in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Geodesy

    We would like to invite you to take part in an interdisciplinary scientific conference held in a unique format, with sessions conducted on board ferries — combining high academic standards with direct exposure to the modern port and hydrotechnical infrastructure of the Baltic Sea region.

    The event constitutes an expanded edition of the "Municipal Waste Management" conference, organised for many years by Prof. Kazimierz Szymański, DSc, broadened to additionally cover topics in civil engineering and geodesy.

    The programme includes paper sessions, discussion panels, and technical visits in Stockholm and Tallinn — cities that exemplify innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Academic proceedings will be held during the crossings, allowing participants to combine scholarly discussion with first-hand observation of maritime, port, and transport infrastructure under real operating conditions.

    A key element of the programme consists of study visits to selected technical and infrastructure facilities that serve as examples of good engineering practice and of the implementation of innovative solutions at the urban and port scale. The conference offers an exceptional space for the exchange of scholarly knowledge, the presentation of research findings, and the development of cooperation between the academic community and engineering practitioners.

The thematic scope of the conference covers key issues in:

  • civil engineering — structural design, diagnostics, and durability; modern construction materials; hydrotechnical and transport infrastructure;
  • environmental engineering — protection of the marine and coastal environment, water, wastewater, and waste management, adaptation of infrastructure to climate change, sustainable development of port areas;
  • geodesy and geoinformatics — modern surveying techniques, deformation monitoring of structures, photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS).
