Longwall complex efficient time and reasons of its decreasing

Abstract

Degree of calendar time use in fully mechanized Longwall system has fundamental affect for this system capacity and its efficiency. Extraction process realized by fully mechanized longwall system time when cutting machine (shearer or plow) is not cutting is, in economical point of view, is not effective, wasted time. In coal extraction process realized by fully mechanized longwall complex are breaks in cutting as result of many different reasons. Some of those break have source in necessary in used mining technology and technical system constrains. In article is presented longwall face calendar time structure and analyzed sources of efficient time loses. Only cutting time as a part of calendar time is efficient. Three mine, different group of efficient time loses as mining technology, extraction process management or longwall equipment quality (reliability) and maintenance needs are definied.
