Abstract

The article discusses the possibility of improving the microclimate in underground hard coal mines in Vietnam. Vietnamese underground mines are shallow mines which extract coal deposits accumulated up to 500 m below ground. According to the current Vietnamese laws, coal deposits can be mined if air temperature does not exceed 30 C, although this rule is not always observed, especially during summer. This article analyses the impact of air parameters on the climatic conditions in headings and the use of the air temperature reduction method in selected underground mines in Vietnam.
