A Concept for the Optimization of Currently Implemented (Functioning) Monitoring and Localization Systems for Equipment and Staff in Underground Mines Utilizing the „Intelligent Watch” Innovative Solution

Abstract

Characteristics of localization systems, monitoring and control implemented at present in underground mines were presented. The Zigbee protocol along with the different topologies for connecting wireless sensor networks were described. A concept of optimizing the currently implemented detection systems for personnel and equipment through the introduction of the „intelligent watch” innovative solution in order to improve security were mentioned. The construct and schematic model of our innovative device were described. Moreover the potential benefits resulting from the utilization of the solution were presented in this article.
