Abstract

The paper presents a research activity of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation in Industry in the area of mineral processing (particularly coal preparation). This activity has been focused on measurement methods of coal qualitative and quantitative parameters and other process parameters, simulation models and their application to production value optimization, automatic control of coal preparation processes in jigs and flotation, sensitivity analysis of control system decision parameters, technological process monitoring and estimation of economical effects of mineral processing.
