Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the feasibility of using various energy sources for a newly developed tourist facility. The choice of an energy source is a strategic decision for any investor. Both economic and environmental factors must be taken into consideration. The analysis was conducted from both financial and environmental perspectives. Based on calculated energy demand, alternative energy sources were compared, including: natural gas (condensing boiler), geothermal energy, heat pump + PV, and pellet boiler. Calculations also included currently available funding programmes. Additionally, an environmental impact assessment was carried out. The findings serve as valuable guidance for investors, who should consider not only the financial dimension when choosing an an energy source, but also the environmental impact, which has become a crucial element of today’s decision-making processes.
