Abstract

Digital transformation in national governance has become an inevitable trend for countries worldwide. For Vietnam, digital transformation is one of the top priorities of the Government in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In fact, Vietnam is one of the first countries in the world to issue a national digital transformation strategy, positioning itself alongside advanced nations in terms of digital transformation awareness. This article outlines some general issues regarding the efficiency of national governance in the context of transformation; analyzes the current state of national governance in the context of digital transformation based on three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society; the barriers to this activity in Vietnam today; and recommendations to enhance the efficiency of national governance in the context of digital transformation in Vietnam.
